Spring 2016Red Ale is a style with few rules: it has to be darker than a pale ale and lighter than a dark ale - that's about it. Roxy, one of Moody Ales' brewers who developed this recipe at home, mixed American and Canadian barley, oats, American hops and honey for an ingredient list that doesn't make a lot of sense, but a beer that does. Chewy malt sweetness and honey aroma harmonize with a moderate dose of West Coast hop bitterness. This is comfort beer.
